Beautiful Minds Promotions were charged with the task of implementing two weekend promotions for the sister eye care brand of Vision Express, Solaris Sunglasses.
The first weekend took place on 24th and 25th July with a team of 10 staff hitting the busy London streets. Having used promotional staff before and not receiving the the best service Vision Express and Solaris have been sceptical about using brand ambassadors but Beautiful Minds have created a great relationship with the brands.
There is almost daily contact between the companies and and both know that they can always pick up the phone to ask any questions. With senior management attending the promotion from French head quarters Beautiful Minds’ knew they had to treat this job with the usual dedicated support, planning and implementation in order to impress.
The promotion for the weekend was to distribute leaflets which gave shoppers 15% off designer sunglasses. Simply handing out leaflets is not enough especially on a street such as one of London’s busiest. Staff had leaflets, props, branded clothes but more importantly the skills to brighten someone’s day, create a connection between the store and the consumer. Generating that relationship is key to making a lasting impression and develop loyal customer or brand followers.
Brand ambassadors were selected on a number of usual and obvious attributes: experience, attitude, punctuality, etc. But giving Beautiful Minds’ the edge over competitors this has to be the bare minimum that is expected of staff. Instead Beautiful Minds’ recruit and select staff that have a true passion about working in the events industry. All staff are full-time event staff so they have everything need in order to fulfil the varying roles.
After week one the client has been extremely impressed with the results. Footfall into the store has been dramatically increased, thousands of consumers have been met and what’s most important is sales have been around the highest levels the store has ever experienced.
